Welcome to the Calgary City Teachers' Convention Association Website

This year's Convention runs February 11th & 12th, 2010.

Please visit our website often through the year for information about Convention 2010.    We are currently accepting proposals for session speakers for this year's Convention.  We invite teachers currently excelling in their classroom practice to submit a proposal to present a session this year.  We provide a small honoraria and release time to assist practising teachers with designing a relevant and interesting session to share with colleagues. Of particular interest to teachers are sessions with classroom ready strategies to deal with difficult student behavior, developing critical thinking with students, brain based learning theory and teaching strategies, and integrating technology into classroom teaching. Proposals for sessions offering SMART board lessons, website creation, video/digital technologies, and online teaching resources will be given extra consideration.  For a more detailed list of topics of interest to teachers, please read through the list under the Program menu.
