Registration & Payment
Exhibitors may register for booth space at the Calgary City Teachers' Convention using the online submission form. After registration information is submitted, exhibitors will be taken to a payment screen where they can pay for their booths via online credit card payment or by mailed cheque. Registration is not considered complete until payment is received. If an exhibitor submits the online registration form but payment is not received, booths are not considered reserved and will be made available for other exhibitors if fees are not received within 30 days of creating an invoice.
Please note the following:
- Exhibitors agree to follow all building regulations for the TELUS Convention Centre.
- Due to professionalism in the workplace, CCTCA does not allow booths selling alcoholic beverages, products or services associated with serving alcoholic beverages.
- CCTCA reserves the right to cancel any exhibit booth registration at any time.
- Booths cancelled before September 1st, will receive a refund less a $50.00 cancellation fee.
- Booths cancelled after September 1st, will receive a refund less a $100.00 cancellation fee.
- Booths cancelled after December 31st, will not not receive a refund.
The new online registration system allows exhibitors to choose their locations on the tradeshow floor. We have an interactive exhibitor map. This map will display name of the exhibitor on the interactive exhibitor map. This map will also indicate space availability. Each exhibitor will have their name on the interactive exhibitor map. An exhibitor map upgrade is required to have your logo, descriptor and link to your website visible on the interactive exhibitor map.
The CCTCA reserves the rights to alter the location of exhibitors at its discretion. If a move results in cheaper booths being assigned to an exhibitor, the CCTCA will issue a refund to the vendor.
In February, exhibitors will receive information regarding move-in/move-out and a confirmation of their booth number by email. At this time, exhibitors will need to arrange for shipping of materials, storage for the following Palliser Teachers' Convention, additional booth utilities, furniture, etc., using the links to the appropriate forms found under the Exhibitors menu.
Superior Show Services, TELUS Convention Centre, Calgary Marriott Hotel, and Alberta Health Services Forms
Please read and familiarize yourself and/or your booth host with the TELUS Convention Centre’s building regulations. Violations of the building regulations are subject to action by TELUS Convention Centre staff, their contractors from Superior Show Services, Calgary Police Services and/or the Calgary Fire Department.
Shipping, Storage, and Utility Order Forms
All booths include 12 linear feet of tables. If you require a specific combination, such as 2 6-ft tables, one 8-ft and one 4-ft, extra tables or no tables, please download the Superior Show forms found under the Exhibitors menu.
For any additional materials/services you may require, including those organizations storing materials for the Palliser Convention you need to complete these forms.
Note that any food samples must relate directly to the product being sold, with the exception of small wrapped candies. Any booth offering food/drink samples, working with hair and make-up products, or exhibiting animals must complete the appropriate paperwork and abide by the regulations of both Alberta Health Services, the TELUS Convention Centre, and the Calgary Marriott Hotel (the Convention Centre's authorized food and beverage provider).
At the request of the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre and in consultation with CCTCA committee members, effective February 2016 exhibitors will no longer be able to prepare and serve popcorn to delegates.
Last year's forms are provided for your information HERE.
The Alberta Teachers’ Association has mandated that exhibitors are NOT to display/sell any study guides or other materials created by the Castle Rock Research Group nor similar products which promote standardized test preparation materials. Exhibitors who violate this mandate will have their booth cancelled and will forfeit their booth fees. Exhibitors who have questions or concerns regarding this mandate should contact ATA Provincial.
Professionalism of Vendors
All exhibitors must conduct themselves in a professional manner in keeping with ATA Professional Conduct.
Calgary City Teachers' Convention Association does NOT have an exclusivity clause for exhibitors. There may be one or more vendors with same or similar products or services. If your company policy states the need for exclusivity at a convention or trade show, this is not supported at the Calgary City Teachers' Convention.
